Meet the Vendors: Lisa's Rum Cakes

Ok! We can't handle how excited we are to have the incredible team at Lisa's Rum Cakes as one of our vendors at the Marry Mart in February at The Paseo Venue. About Lisa's Rum Cakes: Lisa's Rum Cake® is a family owned and operated business in Gilbert, AZ. We produce Italian custard filled cakes for all occasions, frosted in our signature Italian whipped cream. There are over 70 flavors available! Fun fact: we use premium, non-alcoholic extracts to flavor our fillings, per our original family recipe. Our aunt was allergic to real rum liquor. Her food allergy allowed us to make a rum cake that was everybody friendly. We have a state of the art cake factory, where we use high-tech equipment to make cakes fresh on demand. People can call and get a personalized cake the same day, although we do appreciate advanced orders. Our cake products include: Cakes, Cake Pies (made with a layer of cake instead of crust), Mini Cake Pies, and Cake CUTS® (slices), We are primarily known as an e-commerce business, so people can order 24/7 from their smart phones, tablets, and computers. Our family LOVES making cakes for people's most special occasions because we become a part of family traditions. There is nothing more rewarding than getting new clients who tried our cake at a party or heard about us from a friend/coworker. We treat all our customers like family and we take it very seriously that they entrust us to be apart of their traditions.

How to book them: The best way for clients to book wedding cakes is to come to our shop. That way they can meet us, see examples of what we do, and discuss all the details with Lisa. We do take phone orders for wedding cakes and we are happy to announce that online ordering for wedding cakes is coming soon!

Did you know?! - Lisa's Rum Cake was established in 2009, but Lisa has been making her family's cakes in AZ for 42 years (her mom owned the highly acclaimed Cathy's Rum Cake®).

What you should know when booking them:

We want clients to know that not ALL flavors are rum. (Only the flavors that say Rum in the name). Our cakes are known for being moist and different than your typical "cake." The custard filling, fresh fruits, and whipped cream frosting make for an unforgettable dessert. Additionally, we also want clients to know that tiered cakes are priced per person. Prices depend on the design and quantity of servings. Included in the cost of our tiered cakes: each tier can be a different flavor, even custom flavors they ask us to design. When couples choose us to make their wedding cake, they are creating a new tradition and they will have their guests raving about the cake. No scraping off fondant, or eating one small bite of over sugary buttercream. Like true Italian desserts, are cakes are not super sweet or overly rich.
