Meet the Vendors: Sift Bakehouse

"What is the centerpiece of a celebration? Cake! I love to be a part of events, providing something that brings people together to enjoy. Also, who can be sad when there’s frosting around?!" -Katie 

Well, we couldn't have said it better ourselves. Sift bakehouse offers customized and dangerously delicious cakes and macaroons for weddings, styled photoshoots, events, and more. We can't wait to feature their goodies at the Marry Mart! Lets meet the gal behind Sift Bakehouse, Katie Frederick.

 

Sift Bakehouse is owned & Operated by the frosting fiend herself, Katie Frederick. Originally hailing from a pig farm in Minnesota, Katie grew up baking with her mom & grandmothers. Her first job in high school was at a grocery store writing 'Happy Birthday' on sheet cakes!

 

Katie is a mom to two rescue chihuahua pups, Olive GarDen & Ruby Tuesday. She holds two gold medals as a part of the sweet Adelines International Championship BarberShop Chorus, THe Scottsdale Chorus. Fun fact: She once ate pizza for 31 days in a row just because it was October...aka National Pizza Month!

She graduated from ASU with a degree in musical theatre (jazz hands!) & worked throughout at local coffee shops & bakeries. After graduating, she realized that cake rules all & started managing & cake decorating full time until she decided it was time to launch her own business, sift bakehouse.

Filling out the form under “contact” on my website is the best way to communicate all of your needs! From there, we can do a consultation and tasting and I put together an album of options and sketch out your dream cake. 

 

How long has has Katie been baking?

I have been baking for 8 years professionally, but sift launched officially in September of 2015!

I love to make each cake experience unique. From hand painting to my large array of cake stands, I hope to provide a delicious and beautiful dessert. I also love making dessert tables, coordinating macarons, cupcakes and more to offer variety for your guests.
